"The library is often the first resource parents use to find information on learning disabilities. Books on the subject are helpful to parents because they offer a starting point before seeking professional help for their child," says Linda Modenbach, Learning Disabilities Association president, pictured on the left. Her organization's community spirit allows the library to purchase additional materials that help families across Tulsa County.

From a community group's donation that helps strengthen the library's materials collection to a grant for new Internet computers, the library's benefit to the community increases with continued support from local businesses and organizations.

Sponsorships

Peggy V. Helmerich has decided to donate special funds in 2006-2007 to underwrite teen events:  Teen Summer Reading Program; Teen Team Sponsorship; Renaissance Faire for Children, Teens & Families; Teen Art Contest; and 3 to 5 teen-focused events.

Sponsorship levels and opportunities are available for programs throughout the year. From naming a community meeting in memory of a loved one to providing booth space at a local event for library outreach opportunities, your interest in supporting literacy benefits the community.
